Freedom Design was founded by two licensed physical therapists who recognize the need for knowledgeable medical consultation in the home modification process. They are Certified Aging in Place Specialists dedicated to promoting aging in place and independent living for persons of all ages and abilities. Home modification increases accessibility. Making changes that are often low in cost improves safety and convenience.
After realizing a common interest in making homes accessible, Jennifer and Cassandra partnered to found Freedom Design, Inc. They both hold executive certificates in home modification through the University of Southern California and are CAPS certified through the National Association of Home Builders.
Jennifer's career began in a rehabilitation setting where she focused on treating spinal cord injuries and progressive diseases. She continued her career in an outpatient orthopedic setting in Evanston, IL. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Armstrong Atlantic State University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Allied Health Science from Gettysburg College.
Cassandra began her career in an outpatient orthopedic setting and later specialized in women's health treating primarily pelvic floor dysfunction, chronic pelvic pain, and urinary incontinence. She went on to start her own private practice in this specialty in downtown Chicago. She is a graduate of St. Louis University and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy.

We integrate universal and accessible design principles into all of our projects. We go beyond the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act and provide personalized design while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
